This drop is particularly steep with short-chain carbohydrates, and insulin levels fall below the original level before the meal. The drop below the original level is the signal for the body to release the appetite-stimulating hormone ghrelin. The body demands more calories even though they are not needed. These calories are stored in the form of body fat.By modifying your diet, insulin spikes can be avoided or reduced and appetite can be curbed.
